Facebook Now Let’s Everyone To See How Many Friends You Have
In case you haven’t noticed yet, Facebook now let’s other people to see exactly how many friends you have even if you have your settings set to “only me”. Not the whole list of your friends of course, just the number. Your friends list is still visible to others only if you have your settings set to “public” or “friends only”.
Like with every new feature on Facebook, it takes time until the feature is applied to every single account. So if you visit a profile that you aren’t friends with or a person that has his/her settings set to “only me” and you still can’t see the number of friends on their profile, means the feature still hasn’t reached your account, but it doesn’t mean that they can’t see yours. Every account that already has the new feature can see the number on your account.
How to check if my account has the feature already?
Very simple. Just make sure your friend list settings are set to anything except “public”. Then, just visit your own account and click on the 3 little dots (right side) and choose “view as”. The number should be visible below your name, if it’s empty there, the feature still hasn’t reached your account.
