Why you should check your email’s spam folder often
Are you one of those people who owns maybe not a very popular website, but definitely a website which attracts a lot of attention not just from regular visitors side but from advertisers as well? Do you have some spam filters or just use an email address which has spam folder (or junk folder), but you don’t check that spam folder at all (or very rare)? Are you one of those people who gets a lot of spam, and you just delete all spam messages from time to time (all messages at once) without even checking them out?
If you are one of those people, you just must read further, because this particular article is for you. Even if you are not one of those people (not yet maybe), this article still should be valuable to you as well.
I used to get a lot of spam daily. Well, maybe not that much. I was getting around 5-10 emails daily (in spam folder). Now, I get a few messages daily (sometimes none). Most of them is just some stuff that I’m not interested to. However, sometimes I find some messages that contain advertising proposals or something that is useful to me.
If some person sends you a message with advertising proposal or something that could improve your business, you really don’t want to miss such messages. A lot of webmasters just don’t realize that they don’t see a lot of valuable messages, just because they don’t check their spam folder.
If you own a website, you should check your email at least once a day. The same goes for your spam folder (if you have such folder). So many good messages get stuck in spam folder that it is a must to check it often. And if you get a lot of spam messages that you’re not interested to, you should read the article how to prevent spam messages to your email.
If you’re going to check a lot of spam messages, don’t read each message (by opening each). Mostly it is obvious just by reading a title if a message is just a spam or it is something that you should check.
